IS JAL coming BACK ??

When JAL pulled out in 2010 they stated to BAC, that when they returned to prosperity, they planned to return to our skies. In 2010 the Japanese government told them to get rid of their old 747's and A300's and because of this the BNE ROUTE  767's would be needed on those routes which supported the 747's and A300's.

Well the nearest thing we have heard since then was a article in the Gold Coast bulletin last week.

Gold Coast Tourism closely follows Brisbane Airport's movements and flight plans. It is, as GCT boss Martin Winter said, the city's "unsung hero".

He said additional carriers from growing markets such as Indonesia and Japan would be a positive for the city, with Garuda and Japan Airlines coming or in talks about coming back to Brisbane.

This signals that the southeast is being seen as a destination that the burgeoning Indonesian market is interested in, as well as the recovering Japanese sector.
