Jetstar's first 787 taking shape

Jetstar's first Boeing 787-8 is taking shape at Boeing's Everett facility with the aircraft currently undergoing final assembly. The first aircraft VH-VKA is expected to be delivered towards the end of September and will initially operate domestic flights for crew training and familiarisation.

Brisbane will be a key diversion port for the Jetstar 787s in the event of adverse weather conditions at Gold Coast Airport (YBCG/OOL) from which Jetstar operates several international routes.
