Medical & Rescue flights at BNE

This is a summary of medical and air rescue aircraft which frequent Brisbane Airport.

Royal Flying Doctor Service

The RFDS Queensland division has a large base at BNE operating from the general aviation apron. Their fleet of King Air 200s and the occasional PC-12 come and go all hours of the day. King Air's from the RFDS New South Wales and sometimes Victoria divisions are also occasional visitors.

Careflight QLD

Based on the Gold Coast, Careflight QLD operates frequent flights through BNE with a fleet of two Learjet 45 aircraft. The division performs both rapid response and scheduled medical transports 24/7 covering both domestic and international.

AMSA Rescue

Australian Maritime Safety Authority's fleet of Dornier 328 turbo-prop aircraft are frequent visitors performing search and rescue operations covering 53 million square kilometres of the Indian, Pacific and Southern Oceans, and across the Australian continent and Antarctica.

Overseas based medevac aircraft are also regular visitors flying patients to Australia to recieve medical treatment. Some recent visitors are listed below:
