BNE busiest ever in July 2014.

Brisbane Airport handled a record total of pax in July of 1,995,315 missing out on the magical 2 million by only a few thousand.

Also in the month of July BNE airport movements also was a record 19,952 also missing out on the magical 20 Thousand by a mere 48 only.

BNE maintained 3 rd place of the capital cities for pax in July and 2nd place for aircraft movements.

Actually BNE in regards to aircraft movements was 3rd in the whole country also a new record after Sydney and General Aviation airport Moorabbin.BNE passed other GA airports such as Bankstown and Jandakot for the first time.

Gulfstream 550 N989AR msn 5339 arrived Brisbane this evening from the new Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport (YBWW). N989AR operated Sydney - Narrandera - Brisbane West Wellcamp - Brisbane today. This is the first known jet which has operated between the new Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport and Brisbane Airport. Wellcamp Airport is on track to be operational in the third quarter of 2014.

Corporate Air Saab 340 VH-VEF msn 340B-408 made its first visit to BNE today arriving from Sydney. VEF was delivered to Corporate Air earlier this month. This brings the Corporate Air Saab fleet to four aircraft.

RNZAF Texans on delivery

Two Royal New Zealand Air Force Beechcraft T-6 Texan II's arrived BNE today on their ferry flight to NZ. N2824B (NZ1401) arrived from Cairns as "Hotel Kilo Bravo 170" and N2826B (NZ1402) arrived from Cairns as "Hotel Kilo Bravo 177". The aircraft are due out tomorrow to Norfolk Island and Whenuapai on delivery to the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Snapshot: Exercise Pitch Black 2014

Here are some photos taken on a recent trip to Darwin to photograph movements for exercise Pitch Black. Ex Pitch Black is the RAAF's largest and most complex air exercise. International participants included the United States Air Force, the Republic of Singapore Air Force, the Royal Thai Air Force, The Royal New Zealand Air Force, United Arab Emirates Air Force and the French Armed Forces.
